The Zecboat Registry
One viewing key lists every registered collection, from the chain alone.
✓ On chain since block 3498338 (27 September 2026). Read by Zecboat 0.7.1 with a key pinned in the wallet. No server.
What it is
A collection’s proof lives in shielded memos that only its viewing key can open. To read the proof you first need the key, and a website handing you the key is a website you have to trust.
The Registry is one Zcash account whose viewing key is public. An issuer lists a collection by sending one transaction to it, carrying that collection’s viewing key. With the Registry key, any wallet reads every listing from any Zcash node, then opens each collection with the key it found there. Zecboat registers nothing on anyone’s behalf; an issuer pays for the one transaction.
The three public values
Published together, here and inside the wallet. Compare them: a copy that differs in one character is not the Registry.

Anyone holding it sees the registrations and nothing more. The wallet carries the same key; what it reads is decided by the chain, not by this page.
What a registration says
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| collection key | the key that signed every unit of the collection |
| viewing key fingerprint | a hash of the collection’s viewing key; the key itself follows in a second memo |
| close transaction | the transaction that closed issuance, so the count is final |
| mint and close blocks | where to start and stop reading |
| manifest fingerprint | a hash of the signed manifest the site serves |
| signature | by the collection key, over all of the above |
| name | what the issuer calls it; the only field anyone could copy |
Format and rules: ZMAP v0.5 §7.4.
A pointer, not a verdict
A valid registration proves that whoever holds the collection key asked to be listed. It says nothing about who that is.
| What the wallet found | What it shows |
|---|---|
| a registration, from a collection this wallet does not know | ▫ In the Zecboat Registry as “name” · key … |
| a registration, from a collection whose key is pinned in the wallet | ▫ Design registered by “name” · key … |
| a pinned key, and the lineage proof checked against your own node | ✓ Verified — issued by “name” |
A registry-only collection is never green: the Registry is open, and a name plus a short key fragment is forgeable, so the wallet shows the long fingerprint and goes green only for a key it holds. Two collections can register the same name; the fingerprint beside the name is what tells them apart. The audit that follows a registration, seventeen checks read from the chain, is what proves a collection is exactly what its issuer declared.

- Barcelona Post Card 2026 · 10 postcards
- Happy Birthday Zcash 10 · 10 postcards
In the wallet: Collections lists every registered collection with a Check button. The list comes from the chain; the artwork and words come from the collection’s signed manifest.
If zecboat.com disappears
Nothing on this page is needed by the wallet. With this site unreachable, a Zecboat wallet still found Lagos Post Card through the Registry and verified it; that was tested. The three values above and any Zcash node recover every registered collection. Keep a copy of the values somewhere that is not this site.
